Ascot Martin was founded by its Managing Principal, David Shoolman. David previously practiced as an engineer and intellectual property lawyer in South Africa, and is a registered Australian patent attorney and trade mark attorney, and is also registered in New Zealand.      

It is a well-known fact that intellectual property can be an extremely valuable asset to a business, and can even form the business’s very foundation. However, we recognise that it is a very complex and often costly area. Because of the complexity, clients usually have to place their trust in their attorney. We do not take this trust lightly! For us, integrity is an absolute priority, and we run our practice accordingly, so that our clients' trust is well placed in us.
