Domain names Domain name registration - Most businesses have websites these days. The name of the website (i.e. the web address) consists of a domain name (such as www.ascotmartin.com.au). We provide the service of registering domain names on behalf of our clients using a preferred domain name registrar, and managing the registration, including making amendments and attending to renewals when required. Domain name disputes - Domain names are closely related to trade marks, and are indeed often identical or very similar to a business’s trade mark. As a result, misuse of domain names can often cause deception and confusion in the marketplace. A common example of misuse is what is known as cybersquatting. One of our services is to attend to domain name disputes on behalf of our clients.
